For over 30 years, Persephone Theatre has been bringing drama to life on the Saskatoon stage.
Why are we building a new theatre? We have simply outgrown our current facility. The average Canadian theatre sells between 60% and 70% of its tickets. A theatre selling over 70% is doing well. Persephone Theatre has sold over 90% of our tickets for years.
Our solution is simple. Build a new theatre—one with comfortable seating, easy access and advanced sound and lighting technology. A new theatre will allow for more elaborate sets, extended runs and better working conditions for our artists. It will mean we can better serve our patrons, Saskatoon's citizens, our province, and regional arts groups and organizations. It will be the cornerstone in revitalizing the core of our community.
Why would you donate? You recognize that Persephone is a vital part of the community now and for generations to come. You believe that a vibrant downtown makes Saskatoon a better place to live, work, and raise a family. You understand that your contribution will make this dream a reality.
Donations made easy. Every gift makes a difference and is much appreciated. You can make your donation in a manner that best suits your financial priorities: by cash, cheque, direct monthly deposit, shares, or mutual funds. Payments may be made in one lump sum, or you may pay over time— anywhere from 3–5 years.
