Raymond Ko

Violin Alternate

 

Raymond is currently a third year biology student at the University of Saskatchewan. He began studying the violin at the age of seven with Professor Robert Klose as well as studying the piano extensively with Sheila Shinkewski and Bonnie Nicholson.  In 2005, Raymond captured first prize in the Strings Category at the National Music Festival performing Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto.  Most recently, Raymond received a 2007 Canadian Top 20 Under 20 Award for founding his Music Sensory Awakening Program where he volunteers his time to teach autistic children.  Raymond is thrilled to be a part of Persephone’s production of Beauty and the Beast!
